Dr. Melvin Oakley was a Founder of HighFive Healthcare and a valued member of its Board of Directors. His vision, leadership, and unwavering commitment to serving others helped shape the foundation of the organization and continue to influence its mission today.
Dr. Oakley was Chad Trull's partner in Krowten Capital, L.L.C., and a trusted advisor, investor, and mentor throughout his career. He played an instrumental role in the growth of numerous healthcare organizations, including HighFive Healthcare, Affinity Hospice, LifeCare Hospice, HospiceLink, Independent Medical Equipment, Northwest Florida Land and Capital, Oakley Properties, and Respiratory Homecare.
He founded Eufaula Internal Medicine in 1982, where he practiced until his retirement in 2017. Throughout his distinguished medical career, he remained dedicated to compassionate patient care and advancing healthcare in Alabama.
Dr. Oakley earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Richmond before receiving his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia. He completed his residency and fellowship training in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine at the Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine.
